There are two USB ports on the rear panel: a standard USB port for connecting a printer and a micro USB port for connecting the device to a PC for configuration. For Windows and MacOS, HP utilities exist for setting up and using the printer. However, HP does not support Linux, and the Windows installer does not work on Windows 7.
The device is not a real print server, that is, it does not offer standard IPP printing or unformatted printing through port 9100, but it is a redirect USB portThe other simply transmits USB commands via TCP (ports 34447, 34448 and 34450) to the printer.
