Characteristic Value Assignment
The following distinction is made during the assignment of characteristic values:
Networks created from a sales document, such as a sales order.
If you assign a characteristic value for the sales document item to the same variant class as the standard network, then the system copies this characteristic value assignment into the network created from the standard network.
If you want the characteristic values to be assigned separately, the variant classes must be different.
After you have maintained the network header data, the system will prompt you to assign the characteristic values.

You can display the characteristic value assignment in networks by choosing ExtrasConfigurationCharacteristic value assignment.
